Hey, Georgie here.
Throughout the last 10 years, I’ve demonstrated a consistent agility in acquiring new skills and adeptly shifting directions to meet evolving challenges. For instance, during my founding years with Gretel Analytics, I spearheaded the development of a cloud-based healthtech solution aimed at ensuring vulnerable elders receive quality care within aged care facilities. This endeavor required me to swiftly grasp complex healthcare protocols and integrate them into a user-friendly platform that equally prioritised the safety and dignity of all involved.
My interpersonal and team skills have been honed through various roles, both as a leader and a collaborator. Single-handedly delivering the UX, UI, and brand project for the Australian Suicide Prevention Foundation, I coordinated with diverse stakeholders to propose and demonstrate a cohesive and impactful user experience. Similarly, my collaboration with Professor Narelle Lemon on her latest book involved close teamwork to produce illustrations that effectively communicated the concepts she presented.
Balancing engineering foresight with creative innovation is a hallmark of my approach. Designing and building the brand and website for Kauder, a new development studio, allowed me to merge technical web development skills with creative branding strategies. Additionally, developing a UX & UI design for an event management app targeted at Māori youth required a nuanced understanding of cultural contexts, which I translated into an engaging and intuitive interface.
As a problem solver and communicator, I thrive on identifying issues and articulating solutions clearly. In all my projects, I prioritize understanding the core needs of users and stakeholders, ensuring that the solutions I develop are both effective and accessible. I'm teachable, and willing to ask for help when I'm blocked by an unknown. I value integrity, humility and clear communication, recognising that good team culture impacts productivity, quality of outcomes and the day-to-day experience of my teammates.
I am eager to leverage my expertise in a dynamic environment that values innovation and user-centric design.
